Ok, we all know who Bruce Lee is right? Awesome martial artist and movie star. The star of Enter the Dragon, a classic kung fu flick died just as his career was truly taking off. The man who created his own fighting style known as Jeet Kune Do and was known for his legendary training regiment weighed 130 lbs for most of his career but could easily do shoulder raises with 125 lbs of weight and hold it. If you don’t think that is an insane achievement of strength to try doing that with 50 lbs and then realize that Bruce Lee was doing it with weights that were roughly 95% of his own body weight.
I’m sure he wouldn’t have believed in any of the fat acceptance nonsense being spouted all over these days. He would be too busy talking about doing 100 push ups, sit ups and running like 10 kilometers a day as a warm up! Bruce Lee was all about removing whatever wasn’t necessary and there isn’t anything more useless than excess fat!
Imagine my surprise when I find out a fat activist believed she had solved the mystery of Bruce Lee’s death after listening to a podcast!
Wait Bruce Lee died of a heart attack? I thought it was due to cerebral edema…and Google seems to agree. Ali couldn’t be bothered to do a simple google search before spreading misinformation though.
Why should the truth get in the way of a good narrative though right? I mean it’s not like someone who runs the account Ok2BeFat on Tumblr, & Twitter would have any agenda talking about how someone who was at peak physical condition died at a young age. I mean it couldn’t be because someone wrote an article about multiple obese people dying before the age of 40 in 2015 alone just the other day, could it? It may be a bit much to think someone who hates me would try to combat a recent article that could point out how it isn’t “Ok2BeFat” at all. It isn’t too much to believe that someone who looks like this will do anything to demonize weight loss though.
The exact reason Bruce Lee died of Cerebral Edema has been up for debate for a long time, but I have never heard it was protein drinks that did him in. Why is it that Ali finds the need to write about a man who has been dead for almost 50 years but doesn’t do a thing when a young fat person dies and look into their diet I wonder? Ali had to look back nearly half a century to confirm her narrative, where I only have to look back less than 2 months. Keep trying Ali because we need fat activists like you to show just how batshit insane fat acceptance really is!
