If you backed the Feminist Deck Kickstarter from Kiva bay, you shouldn’t expect a refund anytime soon! In a move that surprises absolutely no one, fat activist and feminist darling Kiva Bay still has no progress on her Kickstarter the #FeministDeck. Her Pokemon Go collection seems to be doing pretty well though…This is why I have no issues calling Kiva Bay a scam artist, because well thats what she is.
Over the summer several of her backers started asking questions about why there haven’t been any updates and why Kiva didn’t bother to responding to any correspondence, despite her being extremely active on twitter.
With the pressure mounting Kiva decided to display the only card she ever really had, the victim card! She started to blame “harassment” for her lack of progress. This so called harassment was really just people saying “Hey its been 4 months since your last update, can we have an update, please?” So Kiva came out and said the project of making 52 illustrations was simply too big for her, which is funny considering she has pumped out numerous commissions and roughly 40 illustrations on her Patreon since the Kickstarter launched.
So Kiva admitted there was no way the project could be finished, not finished on time but actually finished as the 30 thousand she received was spent, possibly on weed and paying her rent while she dicks around on twitter all day long, but wait a light at the end of the tunnel! Kiva said she would have an update with plans on how she can possibly release her art (she could have just uploaded it), and refunded people (despite her saying all the money was spent and she has no job) so hold tight everyone because in 2 weeks a PLAN is coming! Yes an announcement… of an upcoming announcement! Now honestly if you’ve spent 4 months ducking your backers you probably should have had a plan for refunds in place when you made this announcement. I mean the title of the update says “PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT OF REFUNDS” as you can see in the picture above.
That was 15 days ago, no mention of it on Kickstarter and her muted twitter feed seems too busy about talking about comic books and Pokemon to bother talking to her backers. Should anyone be surprised by this anymore? Probably not but that doesn’t mean that a scam artist that is trying to make a quick buck off third wave feminism and fat acceptance shouldn’t be continually exposed for the fraud that she is.
