A common tactic that fat acceptance relies on is that what fatties do to their ruined, corpulent bodies has no impact on anyone else. This is becoming less true with ever passing report and study.
Links to cancer, and other diseases are constantly found proving that there is a festering malignancy hiding behind the fat acceptance movement.
All these extra health risks, diseases, and conditions come at a cost, and a new article points out, that we are all sharing in the costs, contrary to what fatties would want you to believe.
The average America is celebrating living a life that is painfully below mediocrity. With 35% of men and 40% of women living in a state of obesity, many are viewing these bloated & mutilated lardmasses as the norm, & keeping up with their medical needs isn’t cheap!
It’s estimated that healthcare costs for morbidly obese adults are 81% greater than costs for healthy adults. Obese adults also spend nearly 50% more on healthcare costs than those of a healthy weight. This isn’t really surprising when you think about all the health risks associated with obesity. Being obese puts you at a much higher risk for stroke, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, cancer, and Alzheimer’s. I have long said that Fat Acceptance is about horrible life habits & expecting no consequences, expecting someone else to deal with the issues their ruined body has caused. Now it’s gotten to the point where economists are even pointing out that it doesn’t pay to be fat!
