So adult coloring books are trendy right now, and while it’s not something I have any interest in but I can understand the appeal. A coloring book full of fat acceptance advocates on the other hand is something that has no business existing. Who on earth would make such a horrible product? Allison Tunis
I wonder why Allison Tunis would want to push to make obesity acceptable and seen as attractive…
The book titled “Body Love: A Fat Activism Colouring Book”comes in at just over 50 pages for 11.99. The art seems to be lazy tracing of “iconic”photos of prominent fat activists. There is little imagination to any of the pages and the lack of detail would leave anyone under the age of 6 bored. Here you can see how the image of Alysse Delassandre is a lazy trace over done in Adobe Illustrator.
Here is another example with Virgie Tovar. The Fat Activist who scams gullible fatties out of money with her Fat Babe Camp program.
I imagine if anyone actually buys this thing most of the color on it would come from food stains as fatties sloppily color this in while shoveling their second lunch into their maw.
Most adult coloring books feature extremely elaborate patterns that actually require patience and time to complete. They range from fantasy art to patterns that seem overwhelming, and I can understand why you would be able to spend hours working on a single page of art like this!
In comparison the Body Love book looks like something designed to keep a child entertained for an afternoon at most. Even a toddler could fill in these pudgy portraits in no time. There is literally no reason any sane adult would ever buy this thing. So what kind of person would ever think this was a good idea again?
