Super heroes shouldn’t be fat, EVER!
Characters that are designed to help and save others need to have the mental and physical capacity to rise to any challenge and you simply can’t do that when you are morbidly obese.
Tatiana Gill has started doing illustrations of strong women from all sorts of media and have bloated their proportions to a point where they can’t even save themselves from their cholesterol, let alone save the day.
Like Wonder Woman who fat activists love to see as a pudgy patriarchy Smasher, but the truth is this Amazonian would never allow herself to get fat.
As a warrior Diana would be appalled at the thought of getting slow, weak, and fat. She should be strong and have muscle rippling under her skin not fat jiggling with every step.
She looks much more like someone who would be found in the battlefield than the buffet. She is seen by some women as an icon of strong women because she is often drawn with muscles, and not just a Barbie doll. In fact a ninja Warrior contestant actually ran the course in a WW outfit and she had the muscle to match.
If that isn’t enough she is portrayed by Gal Gadot…who is no stranger to the gym.
Take note fatties, that is what a strong woman looks like!
Next there’s Rey from StarWars, you know Rey right? The character that scavenged parts for food on a barren desert planet to survive. Living portion to portion and fighting off aliens to survive.
I guess she sold BB8 for those 60 portions. Seriously how would she even get that fat? The picture below is the obvious reference image looks more like someone who wakes up to a struggle and not a soufflé.
How about Dazzler the disco queen that can take sound and turn it into hard light. She’s had multiple looks over the decades all of them thin and fit…its almost as if the X Men live a life where they train under extreme conditions all the time in some kind of danger room. So what did Tatiana do?
She took this famous panel, which is actually a fair and realistic looking body
A vision in skin tight silver ruined
It looks more like fat Elvis in a wig than a superhero.
Although she has portrayed many more strong fit women as fat slobs I will wrap up with an image that will probably become very familiar by halloween, fat Harley Quinn.
It looks like Margot Robbie was force fed Amanda Walker’s diet for months! What’s going on in this picture? Is she getting ready to eat the bat next? She is a far cry from the actress who played her as seen below. Fat activists would probably tell you she is starving and malnourished.
One of the trademarks of Harley’s character has always been her agility and her capability to perform amazing acrobatic maneuvers in fights. This rendition of Harley hung on silks like she was lighter than air, where Tatiana’s bloated bastardized version probably struggles to roll out of bed.
What really blows me away is that all of these characters have realistic bodies, and are portrayed by real women. These “body positive” illustrations are more about pandering to pudgy women’s feelings than actually representing strong women. I guess when your heroes make you feel bad about yourself, all fatties can do is try to drag them down to their level.
You may have noticed that she doesn’t seem to draw her men fat… I’m sure that’s just a coincidence though…
