After numerous race cancellations it looks like Ragen may be setting up an injury as the reason for her next IRONMAN failure. Ragen is currently stuck in an air cast after rolling her ankle during “training”. We can use her previous run times to get an idea of the speed she was runnin…. erm walking and it amounts to a relaxed stroll.
I’ve had to wear an aircast before due to a broken ankle, and they are invaluable after a leg injury. You regain some of your mobility and provide comfort. they are amazing compared to an old plaster cast. Imagine a strong plastic boot designed to take all the weight and stress off of your injury so you can function as you normally would. They are designed to last long periods of time as injuries in the lower extremities can take longer to heal. My air cast was in use for over three months with negligible wear and tear. So it should come as no surprise that Ragen Chastain’s massive fat ass broke hers in under 48 hours!

The article titled “Sit and be fit” follows up an earlier one where she talks of a new injury that will surely be the reason she fails the Ironman, again. This will be the umpteenth time that she has dropped out or been disqualified for a race. She has already said she was hoping this would take her out of the race. So expect this to become new nagging injury that will rear its head closer to race day.
Surprisingly this brought up an interesting look into Regan’s”training”. Ever since Regan claimed to be a “marathoner” people pointed out numerous fallacies in her training logs. Anyone with any experience running could see it simply wasn’t possible for someone who trains as she claims to perform so poorly. Regan was completing races at a speed slower than what many consider a brisk walk. So Regan decided to simply remove all details and kept her trainjngs as vague as possible, until now! So what does an “IRONMAN competitor” do to stay fit these days?
200 crunches, which were not real crunches as her mass limits her mobility. A crunch for someone like Regan is probably just putting her chin on where her collarbones should be.
100 standing push ups against a wall. Not regular push-ups or modified push ups that you do on your knees. Regan is staying “IRONMAN” fit by doing push ups against a wall.
Pilates…here is a pic of Ragen attempting Pilates in comparison with someone who is using proper form. Note the total lack of flexibility from an award winning dancer/elite athlete.
And a vaguely described seated cardio session.
Now anyone who is active in the gym know that an injury will set you back but there are tons of ways to work around that. Regan’s new “work out” routine shows why she has been hiding her results or lack thereof for so long. With less than 6 months to go its only a matter of time for the Iron flop to fail again.
