You know that show “My 600-Lb. Life”? The one that gives the super morbidly obese a second chance at having a normal life? Apparently an exceptionally choosy beggar walked off the show and opted to try to crowd fund their weight loss. After hitting a staggering 665 lbs 26-year-old Schenee decided to go on the show.

At the extremely young age of 26 Schenee is already living on borrowed time.

“My weight is ruining my life,” she said on the April 4 episode. “I feel like it’s suffocating me. I feel like a burden to [her husband Freddy], I feel like a burden to my family, I feel like a burden to everyone in my life.” – People.com

She was quickly given a guide for a 1,200 calorie diet which would allow her to start losing weight to help lower the risks of complication. This is a common step in the process of the show, and it makes sense as surgery on the morbidly obese is extremely risky. Now a 1,200 calorie a day diet is actually very easy to maintain, there is an entire subreddit dedicated to it right HERE. Still Dr. Nowzaradan estimates Schenee was eating roughly 10 times that a day as she continued to gain weight after seeing him. She also opted to skip multiple scheduled visits while hitting her peak 712 pounds before being put on a fixed diet while in the hospital, where she lost nearly 100 lbs. Once she was out of a controlled her environment her weight shot back up and after butting heads with the doctor she finally quit the show and blocked Dr. Nowzaradan’s phone number.

She has opted to do this all on her own now without the help of My 600-Lb. Life. Things don’t look like they are going her way though, despite having over 14,000 shares on social media she has only raised a total of $85 from 6 donations in one week. The people who have seen Schenee’s story simply know this isn’t going to do what needed to get this surgery and keep the weight down afterwards. The story on her GoFundMe seems to tell a tale of denial and lashing out at everyone who has tried to help her.
